Introducing the new Design Team

We'd like to thank everyone that entered our
design team call and believe me many hours
were spent browsing through your blogs!

Unfortunately we couldn't take all of you,
although we'd have liked to, so without
further ado we'd like to introduce you to
our new design team.

We hope you'll join us in congratulating these
talented ladies, so why not pop along to their
blogs (just click on their names) and
check out their projects?

You'll start to see their inspirations from
challenge 62 (May) - so watch out for them!

Here come the new Fussy and Fancy girls:

Hi, I'm Ashley and I'm 22 years old and live in the Netherlands.
I have a big passion for all things creative.  It started with 3D
then scrapbooking and, since 2008, card making!  I have a very
loving husband and a gorgeous daughter who is 2.5 years old!

**********

I'm a Norwegian cat loving and scrap loving girl :-)
I started scrapping in 2006 and as time progressed I fell in love
with creating other small objects too.  I've been making cards
since 2008 and started stamping in 2010 and now I can’t seem
to stop!  My favourite stamps at the moment are KennyK, Sweet
Pea and Simply Betty.  My favourite style is Steampunk and you
often find small bits and pieces of metal and chains hanging from
my cards. I also use a lot of bright and clear colours on my creations
and I can't make a card without having some flowers on it!

**********

Hello I'm Ann, I'm 24 and currently studying nursing at university and
engaged to my very understanding partner :o)  I've been crafting for over
2 years now and totally addicted to both digis and stamps and love
colouring with my Promarkers and have just recently found Flexmarkers.
I also love papers and have to stroke them before cutting into them!
I love blogland and visiting other crafty blogs looking for new
techniques and inspiration and meeting new people

As well as crafting I adore animals and have
a very fluffy cat and two naughty dogs!!

**********

I’m a 50+ year old woman and have been married to my hubby for 30 years
and have two grown sons.  I work at an elementary school by day and I’m a
passionate paper crafter during my time off.  I’ve been crafting most my life,
sewing Barbie clothes, decorative painting, drawing, and cross stitch in my
younger years.

I really became involved with rubber stamping/scrap booking/paper crafts

when I became a consultant for D.O.T.S., which is now known as Close to
My Heart. At the same time I was also teaching craft classes at Michael's,
our local community centre and also our Women's church retreats too.
Being a consultant was a perfect part time job when my sons were little
and I loved creating my cards, planning my demonstrations, teaching
others techniques and providing tips.  It was so satisfying seeing other
women get just as excited as I did about paper, ink and rubber stamps.
Since giving up the consultancy I’ve started my own blog and I’m always
excited about the amount of talent, sharing and inspiration that takes
place daily among bloggers who share this passion for paper crafting.

Being in my creative space is a great stress reliever
 in the evening & weekends.

Hi, my name's Mary and I'm thrilled and honoured to be joining
the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge design team.

I've been crafting pretty much all of my life and as a young girl I used
to love colouring and creating, but 10 years ago I was introduced to
scrapbooking and I fell in love!  I became a consultant for a scrapbooking
company and began sharing my love with other people.  I soon made a
whole bunch of new friends who are still part of my life today.  About a
year or so ago, I discovered copic markers and have never looked back.
I mean, here I am a grown woman colouring..... priceless!!!  And no one
says it's wrong, so I just keep doing it!  I love all the amazing rubber and
digi stamps that are out there.  The joy people get from a card I create
touches me every time.

I look forward to sharing what I can do and can't wait to
see all of the wonderful creations people make.

Wendy Fraser
I'm a stay at home Mum of one, living in the Highlands of Scotland,
with a passion for paper.  I eat, sleep, breathe paper crafts, especially
card making, but if it can be made with paper or card I'll give it a bash!

I'm just delighted to be on the DT for Fussy and Fancy and so pleased
to be working alongside such talented ladies.

Hi, I'm Beth (aka the wind walker).  I live in the small suburb of
Spring, Texas, just north of Houston and I work as a certified
orthopaedic technologist. I'm blessed to share my life with my
beautiful family and two precious dachshunds.  My crafting skills
include paper crafting, beading, cross stitch and porcelain dolls.

Teaching card making and Copic marker techniques are my favourite
past times and I love to share anything I can about paper crafting
with the ladies at our local scrapbook store.

 **********

I'm a 40 year old mum of 2, step mum of 2 and grandma to 1 with number 2
due in October.  I have a fair bit of crafting time just now as I left my job in
December when we were supposed to be moving to Scotland.  As well as
making cards I sew, cross stitch and knit although I still can't manage
crochet and my family would say my cooking is fairly scary lol!  The cat and
I like nothing better than sneaking off to the hobbit hole, as my craft room is
known, for some peace and quiet although I do spend quite a bit of time with
my nose in a book as well or catching up online.

I'm really looking forward to working with such a great team
of talented crafters.

Hi, my name is Danielle Mack and I live and work in Dallas, Texas.
I have been scrapbooking now for the past few years and I love it!
I also enjoy making cards and altered projects too.

I went to college for fine art so I love photography, painting and
sculpture and when I’m not busy with all of that I’ve also got
a dog named Coco and we love to go walking together.

**********

I live in East London and I'm a busy mum to two girls who are aged
2 and 6. I’ve loved all kinds of crafting since I was a child and at
the moment I'm into cards and jewellery making.

I also enjoy gardening and grow my own fruit and veg.

**********

Hi, I’m Natalie and I’m 17.  I’ve been crafting since I was 10
and seem to have got better ever since.  I’ve enjoyed many crafts,
but my main interests are card making and scrapbooking.  Some
of my favourite brands are Magnolia, Saturated Canary digis and
First Edition papers.

Other hobbies include reading, photography, watching tv,
cooking and walking my border collie Digby.

(photo to follow shortly)
Hello I'm Anda (aka Flying Fresian), I’m 31 and live in Edinburgh,
Scotland with my better half "Mr Fresian" and our two cats, Bert and Ernie.

I started crafting two years ago, when I wasn't very well, with one stamp
set from QVC and the rest is history....  I've graduated from a tiny box
of crafting equipment and now my entire spare room is jammed full!

Hi, I'm Christine and I live in the "Garden of England" more commonly
known as Kent in the south east of England.  I have a fantastic
boyfriend called Jamie and am currently a stay at home mum to our
9 month old boy, Jack.

After watching my mum and her friend card crafting for a couple
of years I finally succumbed to the temptation and started
making my own cards in August last year and set up my blog in
December.  I never imagined just how much stash I would
accumulate in such a short space of time, but as a crafter I think you
"need" everything you buy!  I absolutely love networking with all you
fantastic crafty bloggers and can't wait to virtually "meet" more of you!

Hi, my name's Lynn and I live up the bush in a beautiful part  of
Victoria, Australia.  I’ve been crafting and creating since I was a little girl
and my crafts include papertole, painting, clay moulding, card making,
graphic design and numerous other arts and crafts.  I’m very passionate
about every piece I make and only make one of a kind (unless I’m
specifically asked to make it again).  In a nutshell crafting is no
longer a  passion but my way of life.

May O’Connor
Hi, my name's May and I'm so thrilled to be part of the DT team
for Fussy and Fancy.  I've been married for 35 years and have
two grown daughters and one beautiful grandson.

I've been crafting for around 6 years now, starting with scrapbooking
which has led me into card making, box making and mini albums
and of course stamping.

I work full time for the NHS, so I love to spend time in my little craft
room each evening stamping, colouring, cutting and generally
making a mess!!

We hope you'll agree that the variety of talents
and different types of crafts that these
ladies are bringing with them will give you
heaps of inspiration for our challenges!

Hope to see you all soon

Featured Guest Designer for Challenge 59 - Anything but Square/Rectangle

Hello and Happy Friday!
Today the
Fussy and Fancy Design Team
is very proud to feature

as our guest designer!

Here is the stunning card that
Nicki made for our
Anything but Square/Rectangle theme!
Wow!  The married couple who receives this card
will certainly be impressed!

Here is a little bit about Nicki:
Hi, I’m Nicki from North East England and I’ve been card-making for about 7 or 8 years, after going to a stamping workshop with a friend. I thought I’d start making my own cards to save money on shop-bought ones – little did I know how addictive it would become, and how much stash I would ‘need’ to buy over the years!! I love stamping and colouring images, and also using embossing folders and dies to create texture and layers. I work 4 days a week and spend as much of my spare time as I can crafting – if it’s a choice between feather dusters and ink dusters, the inky ones will win every time! My blog name – Cards with Little Ted – comes from my hubby’s nickname for me, as well as the cute little bear in my profile photo, who is only 5cm tall.

Just look at all of the dry embossing along with those elegant pearls.  There are so many lovely details on this gorgeous purse!
You can visit Nicki's lovely blog and read all of the details for this beautiful purse shaped card at
Thank you, Nicki - it's been a pleasure!

You still have time to enter this fun challenge
as it runs until April 5th at 8pm PST

All of us at Fussy and Fancy hope that you enjoy
a wonderful weekend!
