Featured Guest Designer for Challenge 98

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Sammy Stevenson

Here's a little about Sammy:

My name's Sammy and I live in Leeds in the UK
with my husband and two children.

I started card making last summer when I bought
a Docrafts goodie bag on a whim for
the kids to make fathers day cards with.

Then, as there was so much in the bag and hubby’s
birthday only a couple of days later we made
birthday cards too!  I enjoyed it so much, I soon started
getting more and more bits to play with.

Well, you can all relate to the slippery slope that becomes!

I started my blog in July this year, and not long after
I took the plunge to start stamping and colouring
images, rather than use pre-made toppers.  My
addiction has now gone to a whole new level and
with the recent addition of a die cutting machine, I
don’t  think life will ever be the same…

My main obsessions are LOTV stamps and
designer papers and I LOVE making boys cards,
but will pretty much try anything twice! xxx

********

Here's the fantastic side step card
that Sammy has created for our
current challenge:

One for the Boys

Well you've certainly mastered "boy cards"
Sammy!  We can see that you have poured
lots of love and detail into this special card!

What an adorable LOTV stamp that you have
coloured in wonderful
warm shades that match your design paper.

We can see that you're having lots of fun
with your new die cutting machine.

All of the elements from the stars to
the buttons work well together to
make the perfect card for a boy.

We hope that you can visit Sammy's blog
to read more about her great card and
to find out more about her artwork

It's been a real pleasure Sammy - thank you!

Guest Designer for Challenge 96 - Sport

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Margaret Binder
(Mags)

Here's a little about Mags:

My name's Margaret but everyone calls me Mags.  I'm 49 years of age and married with two grown up daughters who still live at home and keep me busy.

I've always been creative but got into paper crafting about five years ago.  You could say that I'm totally hooked!

I enjoy making cards and love trying out new styles and techniques.  I'm also a bit of a paper hoarder. For me crafting is a way to relax after a busy day at work.

********

And here's the monotone card Mag's
has made for our current challenge :

Sport

We think that Mag's has created the
perfect male card, not only
highlighting one of the most popular
sports, but helping all of us with an
idea for a male card.

The majority of us cringe when asked
to make cards for men so thanks
for the inspiration Mags.

Guest Designer for Challenge 95 - Back To School

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Millazin

Here's a little about Millazin:

I'm 35 and live in Drammen, Norway with my
boyfriend and work in the city of Oslo.

I've been crafting for about a year and a half and have
been completely hooked by this wonderful hobby.  There
are so many exciting techniques and materials to play with.
I'm very fond of making grungy projects, such as this, but I
also make more delicate ones too.  I like to try different
things all the time, but folding techniques and metal tape are
my favourites.

And here's the altered notebook
and pencil holder that Millazin has
made for our current challenge

Who would think that you could make
these with an old kitchen roll tube,
recycled cardboard and a notebook!

Just add a dash of Tim Holtz, a spray
of dylusions and a whole lot of metal
tape amongst other things and these
wonderful projects have been created.

Aren't they stunning?

We hope that you can visit Millazin's blog

Guest Designer for Challenge 95 - Bingo Board

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Here's a little about Sari:

Hello my fellow crafters!

My name is Sari and I'm a 38 year old mother of
4 children living just outside of Stockholm, Sweden
with my hubby, kids, dog, parrot and a few fish too.

I've been a crafter all my life but it wasn't until I needed
a Mothers Day card for my Mum a few years ago (the
shops were closed) when I discovered card making and
after my first attempt I was hooked!  My favourite style
is vintage and shabby chic, I call it shintage lol.

For me there is nothing better after a hectic day than to
unwind in my little craft room.

And here's the beautiful picture frame
and baby bootees that Sari made for
our current challenge

Sari has used the full house from
our bingo board - WOW!!!

We think it's great that you've used all
the elements from our bingo board and
created such a memorable keepsake
too.  The delicate blue along with the
lace and flowers on the frame are just
stunning and those tiny bootees are
just soooooo cute!

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Here's a little about Katharina:

I'm a 59 year old Swedish spoken Finn, living in the city of
Vasa in Finland.  My husband and I have four grow up
children and four grandchildren.

I've always been interested in handicrafts and at the
moment I'm enjoying different stamping techniques, card
making and papier mache.  I'm always looking and trying
new techniques too.  My style varies from pretty things, bling,
lace and ribbons one day to fantasy, mystic and abstract.
Travelling to different countries gives me a lot of inspiration
for my artwork.

I currently work as a leisure supervisor for retired people

And here's the beautiful side stepper
card that Katharina has made for
our current challenge

Guest Designer for Challenge 93 - Lemon and Lavender

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Here's a little bit about Diana:

I'm a lover of all things crafty!  I enjoy spending time
creating not only paper craft items, but also mixed
media and altered art projects.  I love to scour thrift
and second hand stores for treasures that I can
transform into something new and beautiful

I live in beautiful (but hot) Phoenix, Arizona, where
I'm outside all winter, and hiding from the heat in the
summer!  I adore entering crafting challenges and am
always making lists of new challenges that I can
play along with.

My favourite products are generally from Ranger or
Tim Holtz, but I'm also really enjoying Bo Bunny papers,
Angie Delarie, Saturated Canary and Dilly Beans digi
stamps.  I'm trying my hand at colouring and like that
I can see slow but steady progress.

When I'm not crafting I work full time as a 911
operator/police dispatcher.  I adore my work and can
truly say that every single day I work is different from
the last.  At home my husband and I have a house full
of furry kids (3 dogs and 3 cats!).

It's a wonderful and rewarding life.

And here's the gorgeous card that Diana
has made for our current challenge

We can see your love for Dilly Bean
digi's by the image that you've chosen
for this card.  She has been coloured
to perfection and we adore her
sparkly tail.

We're sure with your love of altered
art that the background and
ribbon have both been created by you.
They both set off your image
beautifully and show your skills

We hope that you visit Diana's blog

to read more about her card and to
find out more about her great artwork

It's been a real pleasure Diana - thank you!

Guest Designer for Challenge 91 - Button Up

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Kelly Smith

Here's a little bit about Kelly:

Hi my name's Kelly and I'm from Lincolnshire, England.
I've been married to Karll for 10 years on the 28th of June
this year!  Where does the time go?
We have a fiesty ginger cat called Ruby and an adorable,
but a bit nutty, Cavalier King Charles called Archie.

I work in a school office, so lucky ol' me gets the school
holidays to craft away!  I've always loved being creative and
as a little girl I constantly had a colouring book and crayons
with me.  So of course I LOVE stamping and colouring!

My favourite stamps are Penny Black (I couldn't tell you
how many I have of these), closely followed by Lili of the
Valley, Wild Rose Studio, House Mouse, Sugar
Nellie and Humphrey's Corner.  I use my Promarkers for
colouring with mostly but do still love my Faber-Castell
Watercolour Pencils.  My favourite embellishments are
lace, pearls and ribbon and I adore the digi papers from
Pink Petticoat.

Here's the adorable baby card that Kelly
has made for our current challenge

Button Up

This is such a beautiful baby card Kelly.
The Penny Black image is so cute and
your colouring is lovely.

We love these gorgeous soft blue papers
that you've chosen and just look at those
pretty flowers you made!  The blue inked
edges really make them pop.  Our favourite
part has to be the blue button centers
you added, just perfect for our challenge!

The lace and pearls you used are
so soft and the adorable little charm
makes the perfect finishing touch.

We hope that you visit Kelly's blog

Guest Designer for Challenge 90 - Bling It On

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Katie Tate

Here's a little bit about Katie:

I am a wife of 18 years and a Mum to three beautiful
children.  I'm English by birth, but have been in the
US now for over sixteen years and I reside in
sunny north Texas.

I've been paper crafting for fourteen years and card
making for four.  I love to color! I've been colouring
all my life.  You could always find a colouring book
and felt tip pens in my Christmas stocking.

Copic Markers are my medium of choice and I'm
certified in the use of them.  The blending that can be
achieved with them is so wonderful and you can
often find me cheerfully colouring, even though
I have no card idea in mind.

I love all types of cards, but struggle a little with the
CAS style, I'm a more is more kinda gal!

And here's the gorgeous card that Katie
has made for our current challenge

Bling It On

Add caption

This is such a beautiful, fun
and inspiring card Katie.

The butterflies you've created
with corrugated cardstock and pearls
look beautiful teamed up
with the pretty embroidered lace.

And the adorable "My Besties" digi
image you chose to work with is so fun.
You coloured her up so beautifully with
such soft pretty pastels.

Then you finished your card off with
the sentiment "Believe in yourself",
we can't help but smile and feel inspired
when we look upon your card!

We hope that you visit Katie's blog

Catherine Carter

Here's a little bit about Catherine:

I'm married with three children and live in
Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
I've been paper crafting and creating now for
around 12 years and found that my style has changed
a lot since I started.

I was a textile student at college and love embroidery.

Guest Designer for Challenge 88 - Anything Goes

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Lorraine Lowe

Here's a little bit about Lorraine:

I'm a single parent living in Gloucestershire with my
son James and Jack Russell pup named Jessie.

I am both an avid crafter and animal lover and have
been crafting for several years.  I started off with
decoupage, progressed onto rubber stamping,
which is my true love, then digi images started
to play a part in my card making.

Recently I've taken up crochet again after many
years absence and due to the internet I've been
able to learn tons more than I ever dreamed
possible.  I believe I've added an extra interest
to my day to day crafting

Here's the gorgeous gift set that Lorraine
has made for our current challenge

Anything Goes

This is such a special gift set, Lorraine
You've coloured and shaded your two
images beautifully!

Your crocheted flowers add such
a personal and fun touch to your gift set.

Guest Designer for Challenge 87 Vintage

Hello and happy Friday

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Ginny Getty

Here's a little bit about Ginny:

I live in northern California, in the foothills of the Sierras, with
my husband Scott.  I love and teach the paper arts, from book
making, iris folding, paper sculpting, rubber stamping
to zentangles.

As my "rubber room" is filled beyond capacity I find myself
turning more and more to digis for new fun images.

Something I swore I would never do (determined to remain a
rubber purist!).  Now my favourite artists include Mo Manning
of the Digital Pencil, Megan Suarez of Dilly Beans and Sassy
Cheryl who are all among so many talented artists in their field.

Here's hoping that you colour with abandon, create wildly and
always make what amuses you!

Here's the gorgeous card that Ginny
has made for our current challenge

Vintage

We love the blend of colours
used to create your background
over stamping with your vintage
stamp and swirls.

Combined with your flowers
and ribbon it makes a great
vintage themed card.

Over the last 4 years I've been on various design teams, one of

Guest Designer for challenge 83 - Pink & Black

Hello and happy Friday!

********

Today the Fussy and Fancy girls
are happy to introduce
our very talented guest designer

Annie Mehew

Here is a little bit about Annie:

Hi, my name's Annie and I'm retired which gives me lots
of time for my 4 grandchildren and my crafty pastimes.

Like so many other crafters,  I've crafted in one form or
another for as long as I can remember.  I was taught to
sew, knit, embroider and cross stitch by my mum.  Paper
crafting became my passion when I was given a handmade
card by my daughter in law.  I was fascinated to know how
it had been made which opened up a whole new world
to me.

I like to try many things but stamping and die cutting are
the things I always return to.  I recently decided to try my
hand at blogging after following other peoples blogs
over the years.  That's when I discovered the Fussy & Fancy
Friday Challenge and decided to give it a go!

I entered my card on a whim at the last minute so you can
imagine my surprise and excitement when I was told I'd been
selected to be a Guest Designer... so here's my card for
the Pink & Black challenge, I hope you like it.

Thank you for looking, have fun and I look
forward to seeing your entries.

Here's the gorgeous card that Annie
has made for our current challenge

Pink &  Black

This card is so pretty, Annie!
Those gorgeous lacy stamps and your hand
made paper roses are beautiful, we can't wait
to read how you made those lovely leaves

The pretty pink bow, scrolls, stick pins and the
pink framed layer all work together
to make such a lovely and elegant card

We are sure that the recipient of this
card will feel very special indeed

We hope you can visit Annie's blog

card and to see more of her work
