avid card maker for over 25 years.
 I also enjoy sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading, but cards

I love the pretty pink, purple and blue colors together!

You have colored the pretty "Green Moth Maiden" by

Ching Chou Kuik digital stamps, perfectly!

We love the purple hair and all of the delicate and beautiful

butterflies that you added!  We can't help but notice that

you even have butterflies on one of your pretty design papers!

The yummy paper flowers that you used to embellish

your card are beautiful!

This is one of those cards that you want to keep

going back to look at again and again!

Hey, it's Friday and time for a new Fussy & Fancy Challenge, the second one of 2015.

I am very excited to host this challenge, especially as it is being sponsored by Sweet Lilac Flowers and Fresh Brewed Designs. 

I have chosen a ‘Things with Wings’ as the challenge theme because it’s that time of year here in the UK when we are thinking about Spring arriving and the garden coming to life again after the Winter, in our garden that means the return of all my feathered friends.

 

I'm Annie, and I live in Bangor, North Wales. It is a very beautiful part of the country that lies between the mountains and the sea. I am now retired after many years working in retail as a customer service manager.

I have been creating in one form or another as long as I can remember, but nowadays it is mainly card making and altered art that keeps me occupied and amused. In fact, if I'm honest I do not know how I found time to go to work before I retired!

I hope you will be inspired by the beautiful work the Fussy and Fancy girls have done and will give this challenge a go!

Here is a little about Jay

 

Hiya, My name is Jay and I am a happily married mum of one adult daughter who is

currently attending University!  My husband and I are so very proud of her.

 

I live in England and have been crafting one way or another all my life!

I have enjoyed knitting, making soft toys and sewing.

 

Then, I started card making in 2004 and was immediately hooked!

I craft most days of the week and my favorite part of making a card is the colouring.

I find it so very therapeutic.  As I am sure you may have guessed,

my favorite kind of card is fussy!

Our challenge for the next
fortnight is hosted by our

very sweet and talented

Norma

Hello.  My name is Norma and when it comes to card-making I am definitely a

 Fussy and Fancy kind of gal.  

 I simply love adding embellishments to my cards.  The hardest type of cards for me to create is actually when I have to make CAS (clean and simple) cards and have to restrain myself from embellishing...ha ha.

My cards tend to feature cute images (rubberstamps or digis) that I like to colour with alcohol-ink markers and/or coloured pencils.  My favorite embellishments are flowers, pearls and swirls/flourishes.  I'm a die-and-punch addict.  I feel guilty if I don't make use of the floral dies and punches that I've spent way too much money on (gulp), so I like to make my own flowers.  I also love doing fancy fold cards.

 

The challenge Norma has chosen is:

Gorgeous colouring and so very pretty with the blue tones
bringing out the vibrant blue of her eyes!
The flower embellishments are a perfect match to
the lovely poppy's in her hair!
